Sherry
believes in giving back to the community. Since
1998, she has volunteered with Hospice of the
Western Reserve (www.hospicewr.org).
She has also volunteered with survivors of domestic
violence and rape, and served on different boards.
The
primary focus of her community work involves helping
in the efforts to end the issues of modern-day
Slavery and Trafficking in Persons. There are
millions of people enslaved in the world today,
including nearly a quarter of a million here in the
United States. The numbers are growing; the numbers
of human beings trafficked annually now rival the
drug and arms trafficking industries.
Sherry has a website,
www.afest.info, specifically intended to help
explain what is happening and how you can help fight
these abuses.
She is available to talk to any interested group.
